Happy Fashion Friday Everyone! Today’s gorgeous piece is a black velvet jacket, hand beaded with gold and black seed beads in varying patterns. The inside is lined with white silk and the jacket has fantastic mutton sleeves and an open front that does not fasten shut. Though the donor is unfortunately unknown, this piece is known to have been worn in and around the year 1864.
