The erasure of the mother goddesses once celebrated was key in the subjugation of womankind. So heres some Easter history: Sumerian goddess Ishtar was hung naked on a stake and then resurrected & ascended from the underworld. Eostre, also Ostara, is a powerful mother goddess of fertility (her symbol was the rabbit). Every Easter I like to remember Eostre, Ishtar, Ostara and all the mother goddesses.
