Happy Friday Maison! We had a great meeting at Jags Bistro last night. 23 members attended...nearly half of the Krewe! It was good to see some old friends, and some new old friends. Sorry if you missed it. A few highlights and pieces of info you need to know. We are going to hold our second annual "Boo in the Park" on October 20th at Prien Lake Park. Kids and grand kids are invited to wear their Halloween costumes. More about this as we get closer. We are running a positive balance in the bank, and have decided to provide some funding to make some long needed repairs to the float, add a cover, upgrade the bathroom...lots of good and necessary changes. There will be several work days coming to help Captain Jerry and David. Please come help as you can. As a reminder, the theme for the ball on February 22 is "Maison Goes to the Movies." Start making plans for a great evening. Carol Williamson has volunteered to represent us on the Krewe of Krewes. Thanks Carol. They are also looking for volunteers to work twelfth night. If you are interested in helping please let us and Carol know. We are now up to two debutantes for the upcoming ball. Laurie Fontenot has agreed to oversee this. Thanks Laurie. We are going to support a gumbo cook off November 9th in honor of Veterans Day. Again, more info as we get a little closer.
