Happy Friday! We have a great recipe for you to try out - Dubliner Cheesy Sausage Rolls! Great party food for guests or a delicious snack for some Friday night TV watching!! Serves 2 - 1 tsp vegetable oil - ½ an onion, chopped - 200g pork sausage meat - 1 tbsp brown sauce - 1 egg, beaten - 1 tsp garlic powder (optional) - 2 tsp fresh parsley leaves, chopped (optional) - 150g frozen puff pastry, thawed - 60g Dubliner Cheese, grated 1. Preheat the oven to 190˚C/170˚C fan/gas mark 5. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and cook the onion and sausage for 7-9 minutes until cooked through, using a wooden spoon to break up the meat into smaller chunks. Set aside and leave to cool. 2. Combine the sausage meat, onion, brown sauce and most of the egg in a bowl. If using the garlic powder and parsley, stir them in as well. 3. Roll out the pastry on a floured surface and cut into two long rectangles. Place the sausage mixture down the centre of each rectangle, and then sprinkle over the grated Dubliner Original White Block. 4. Fold over the seams to enclose. Brush over the remaining beaten egg. 5. Slice each roll into smaller pieces and place onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is puffed and golden. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
