Happy Friday! Yesterday, to commemorate the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Deputy Chief of Mission Eric Madison spoke to U.S Embassys IRC (Information Resource Center) visitors about the significance of that event. The anniversary of the speech was an opportunity to share the values that Dr. King promoted including equality and community service. DCM Madison, who was present at the famous speech as a young child, also discussed the civil rights movement in the United States and how the U.S experience is relevant to the DRC today.
