Happy Gay Pride weekend to all my friends who celebrate! I did not choose to be Gay, I was born this way! I am a proud gay American and I am a christian! I am grateful for the advances we have made in prohibiting discrimination in employment and housing, also for marriage equality. Yet I am frightened by what is happening to lgbt people elsewhere in the world; Russia, Dubai and Uganda to name a few. It was not that long ago when glbt people were exterminated in Nazi Germany along with millions of Jews and other so called undesirables. So this is why we have gay pride parades, I like to call it a march. I march for freedom, not just for me, for everyone!
