Happy Halloween! High temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 70s with the South Valley getting the warmest. Clouds will build from the west as the cold front approaches. Plan for breezy conditions ahead of the front that could cause blowing dust in the west Valley before the rain begins. If you have plans this evening, keep the umbrella handy as rain will begin in the North Valley in the late afternoon. The rain will move south and east and reach the Fresno area as early as 6 PM. The bulk of the rainfall and some rumbles of thunder will move through overnight as the system pushes east. A few trailing showers will last through midday tomorrow. Totals for the event will range from 1/2 to 1 in the Valley with higher amounts possible in the Foothills. Behind the front, much cooler conditions can be expected for the weekend.
