Happy Halloween! What are your Halloween memories? I am just remembering my mother making turkey soup every Halloween. I did not like her turkey soup. She made us clean our bowls before going trick or treating. But her best trick was telling my brother and I we were allergic to chocolate when we were growing up. My brother actually had a slight reaction once. So guess who got to eat all of our chocolate candy bars? On a more positive note, that was back in the day when neighbors made candied apples, popcorn balls and other home made treats. Well before the kids candy had to be x-rayed! And I remember the year that I wen all out for my kids, sewing a furry EWOK costume for my son and a full Disney quality Donald Duck costume for my daughter. I think they were 7 & 8 but were able to wear the costumes a couple of years. 30 years ago!!!
