Happy Keralites Over Holiday Boananza August 15 is Friday providing an extended weekend. Five day break starts with Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 and ending with Bakrid on October 6. November commences with a three day break. Coupled with Onam, Christamas, usual sundays and second saturdays, unpredicted bandhs, hartals called by political parties, teachers, students, bus owners, trade unions Keralites can be very happy over a large number of holidays in the second half of 2014! People and rulers here do not know the number of holidays in an year is fixed in many developed countries. With varying number of holidays, Indian yearly data are not even compatible for comparison without making suitable prior adjustments!
