Happy Monday everyone!!! I wanted to give a quick little update since I got behind with the holidays. Jake is doing amazing!!! He weighs in as of now at 4# 7.4oz. Hes still on 33ccs of breast milk with one pack of fortified. When Jake had his last Echocardiogram his PDA (the duct between his heart and lungs) came back as not patent any longer which basically means its closing on its own. So no need for fluid restriction anymore. Praise the Lord!!! Also Jake had another eye exam and there are still NO signs of ROP just some immature blood vessels that need to finish growing. Oh how that made my heart ease hearing those words. I wouldnt change Isabella for nothing in this world but you simply never want to hear your child is blind... So we are beyond thankful Jakes eyes continue to look great. We are still working on bottle and nursing and once he has those down that will be a milestone met and no more NG tube!!! Hes doing good but we still need for it to really click with him that he has to work for his feed not just let his belly fill up while he smiles at us even though its adorable. 😏 The other milestone we are praying for is that he had to go 7days without an A & B episode. The last couple of days hes only had a cpl a day but he has to be able to completely go a full week with none. I know he is growing and he will get there. Just Mommy and Daddy are ready for him to be home but not before hes ready so well just continue praying. Thank you all so much for the continued prayers for Jake. He truly is our miracle!!! God Bless and I will update soon. XO Also Dermatology is coming in to check out his Impetigo bc with the antibiotics it still has yet to completely clear up so please remember that in your prayers.
