Happy Mothers Day to all the moms. Just read this post from a first-time mom. Beautiful. I hope youll share. This weekend marks my first Mother’s Day. My first Mother’s Day with an actual baby in my arms. I finally get to be included. I won’t be able to sleep in. Or have a day without doing dishes or laundry. I won’t get flowers or breakfast in bed. I won’t get the day off. But I get to wake up and pick my baby up out of his cradle. I get to kiss him and say good morning. I get to laugh at his smiles while he explodes his pants. I get to nurse him and be proud of 3 successful months exclusively breastfeeding. I get to pick out his clothes and dress him. I get to put him in his car seat and take him with me to my mom’s to celebrate my very first official Mother’s Day. I get to enjoy the compliments all day about how cute he is. I get to make the bouncing laps around my moms bathroom trying to get him to go down for a nap. (X3) I get to carry his sweaty baby self while he naps in his wrap. I get to receive the smile he will have on his face when he wakes up. I get to lay on the floor with him while he figures out how to roll over. I get to watch him attempt to put everything into his mouth, only to get frustrated when it doesnt quite work out. I get to take him home with me at the end of the day. I get to give him his bath and do our night time routine. I get to go to bed knowing that I get to experience all of it again the next day. A day that’s not even Mother’s Day. This is what I have been waiting for. I feel complete. I feel like I finally found my reason for being here. I am happy, and I am so completely in love that there are days I can’t even handle it. And Happy Mother’s Day to all of the other moms out there!
