Happy New Year All. This afternoon, I noticed strange activity in my back yard. Zack was in the corner by the garage (Where he normally stands on his hind feet with his front feet on top of the fence so he can more adequately bark at passers by) pushing dirt around with his nose. I called out and he immediately became more furtive (snerk - read he got frantic to bury whatever it was but he clearly thought he was being suave). As he shifted around, I realized that he had taken the stuffed crescent moon squeeky toy outside. He knows this is forbidden, but he has been frantic to find a place to hide it where Barrett cant get to it. He wanders around the house sobbing like his heart is breaking with the toy in his mouth trying to find a place to keep it away from his brother. (I know this because Barrett likes the toy too and there have been some interesting times recently.) He does this with every toy he gets, and most of those that are for Barrett as well. The toy came with the gift basket the other day so it is fairly new. But now it is in the back yard dusted liberally with dirt to keep it out of sight.
