Happy New Year! We had a very quiet festive season. The best part - TopicsExpress

Happy New Year! We had a very quiet festive season. The best part was it wasnt overshadowed by appointments or trips to the hospital! 2015 is going to be a great year! Fresh start, fresh outlook and no regrets! Our first challenge for the new year is moving house. (Sigh). Unfortunately we were unable to extend the lease here for another 6 months so we will be moving to an apartment at South Bank on Thursday. A big down size but we are looking forward to being close the the new hospital - less tolls, less parking costs, less road rage = happy family! Connor is going great, hes putting on weight, has lots more energy and his hair is growing back (dark though?!). We have had many glimpses of the pre-diagnosis son that we love so much. We had visits by two of his friends from Collinsville which was awesome. Just like old times, you wouldnt have known that the kids havent seen each other for months. Connor was supposed to be admitted next Monday for third round of immunotherapy (the reason why we arranged our house move for this week) but we have just been told today that it has been delayed a week as he requires a MRI & MIBG to meet the trial criteria (big sigh). A bit disappointed as we have planned the next few weeks around his stay in hospital but thats life (well ours anyway!). Deep breath and move on… Isla and I enjoyed the Giggle & Hoot show this morning - it was amazing - huge thank you to ABC and Childrens Hospital Foundation (Connor was at hospital appointment so sadly unable to go). Isla got to meet Jimmy Giggle and B1 & B2 - it was nice for her to be centre of attention for a change! So back to hospital tomorrow for MRI, then MIBG next week.
