Happy New Year again fellow Monrovians. This is kind of important, so please take time to read this. :).Maritza Maritza Travanti and I are excited about out February 7th no-host gathering which to quote Steve Allen, this could be the start of something big (i.e. monthly casual gatherings) but if its ok with the REST OF YOU, can we keep politics out of it? Yes, there will be an election in Monrovia in the Spring, but OUR FIRST gathering at Bull Taco on Feb 7 is designed for SOCIAL only..to see if we like each other enough in person to want to hang out monthly, which I think we will end up doing, but please, lets not make it any kind of political arena for the spring election..its not meant for THAT. Is that okay to ask? Maritza and I both want this to be casual, low key and no agenda..just us enjoying each others company. Lets keep our gathering LIGHT, AGENDA-FREE, and just US hanging out over some grog and grub. So far we have 53 committed..but if even half that # show up, it will still be a success...Fair enough fellow MONROVIA CA groupers? Your thoughts?
