Happy New Year to the Planet !!! In an earlier post, on the 4th of December Roaring Lion Calypso Foundation (RLF) mentioned that we had supplied Mt. Lambert RC School (MLRC) with Tennis equipment but that there was more information to come. Here is our update; after speaking with the principal in 2013 we realized that our school, with approximately 300 pupils, had no computers. An additional dimension to that reality is the fact that many pupils attending MLRC do not have Internet access home and thus is at a serious disadvantage in today’s computer literacy world. So, RLF lobbied our friends and supports and raised the necessary funds to purchased “brand new parts” to assemble 5 top quality PCs. Mr Kurt Banfield (in picture) our friend and supporter assembled and installed them at the school in March 2014. By the way Mr Bandfield is a past pupil of MLRC. He was also responsible for running our Internet Youth Café in Mt. Lambert, between 2004-2007. During that period we provided computers and free inter net. The Principal of the school is also in two of the pictures. Kindly continue to support Mt. Lambert RC School in 2015-☺
