Happy New Years! Today marks a new the beginning of new year and many will create resolutions. With this is mind I would like to offer some incite. Before you do anything else, try this first: STEP ONE FORGIVE YOURSELF, WRITE A NOTE ABOUT HOW YOU FEEL, BURN IT, CRUSH IT AND THROUGH IT AWAY, DO ANYTHING THAT HELPS YOU TO LET IT GO. Instead of making resolutions this year trying making a goal plan instead. Grab a piece of paper or use a spreadsheet. Whatever makes you heart and mind happy. :) List all the things in 2014 that didnt work for. Now look at this list and pick 1-3 that you feel can really change. Lets face it picking them all is a sure fire way to be overwhelmed but the fastest way to jump ship. Be reasonable. Some goals are hard and some are easy. They are all relative to the individual. Dont give yourself 3 monstrous goals and expect to win at all three. Be kind to yourself. Now take those 1-3 items and break them down. Ask your self these questions: 1. Why do I feel this isnt working? 2. What could I have done different? 3. Could I have done something Different? 4. Can I change this on my own? 5. Who can I ask for help? SUPPORT can be the best way to success 6. How long should I give myself? 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, etc. 7. What steps will I take to make this happen? 8. THIS IS IMPORTANT SO LISTEN UP- Forgive yourself... and try again and again and again. Revamp but never give up. YOUR WORTH IT. If you are able to change all the goals you set then grab that list you made and pick a few more and repeat. There is nothing better than saying you did something rather than you did nothing. You never fail if you try. You only fail if you do nothing. Peace in the new year and remember only you have control over your reactions. Never let others control your behaviors or ruin goals. :)
