Happy October 15th everyone!! I am what I like to call a Phobia Maniac. I am obsessed with fear and why people get scared and the different things that everyone is scared of. That being said today I am going to discuss a phobia and variations of that phobia. The phobia I am going to talk about is Automatonophobia Which is the fear of anything misrepresenting sentient life. This includes but is not limited to Statues, Mannequins, Dolls, Animatronics, Robots, and Puppets. Some of these fears have their own subsections like Pediophobia - Fear of Dolls and Pupaphobia - Fear of Puppets. So if you are scared of Puppets like Billy from Dead Silence. Or Doctor Whos Weeping Angels freaked you out even before you knew they could move. Or even why you feel like those dolls just arent cute. Then you probably have Automatonophobia.
