Happy Saturday, Dear Brothers & Sisters, In todays Community Bible Experience we see Jesus go right to the heart of Jerusalem - the Temple - the center of the Jewish faith. Its the first time we see him there. And the leaders ask him to show some kind of sign that he has authority to do what he does. John 2:23 & 24 stands out to me. Jesus does good things for the people, but he will not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. What a sad commentary on our humanity! Even when God draws near - and does great things for us - we can still be so fickle! We are easily entertained and comforted, and at the same time so quick to be distracted and cynical. In spite of this, Jesus still takes time for us. And He will continue giving of Himself no matter how strong or lackluster our response. Do you feel the longing to become His faithful disciple like I do? Imagine what could happen in the holy temple if we did!
