Happy Senior Saturday, Animal Lovers! Meet Buddy! Buddy is an 8 year old beagle. He is a very mellow dude, he walks great on a leash, and unlike most beagles, he doesnt bark! He likes, kids, cats, and other dogs too! He always greets you with that sweet smile of his and a few little tail wags. Buddy is a typical beagle in that he enjoys digging and exploring. He digs under fences, so he would want to be inside while you were away. Buddy is also a typical beagle in that he likes to sniff and investigate. Hes been known to chase a squirrel or rabbit. :) Buddy would catch on quickly to being potty trained because he is already partially house trained and hes a very smart guy. Recently, we recruited him to be our assessment dog at HES, where we see how our new recruits do with other dogs, feeding, playing with toys, etc. Buddy was the tester dog that we used to see how all the new dogs reacted. He was laid back and got along with all the dogs he met. He isnt rambunctious, but he is playful and enjoys running around with humans and other dogs. He enjoyed having others to engage with and having a task to do. And as you can see from the picture where hes sticking his tongue out, hes got quite the fun personality! Buddy would love nothing more than to go on a hike with his family and then come home and get some love and play time in. He would be great with a large four-legged and two-legged family, or a smaller family-this mellow guy would fit right in no matter what!
