Happy Sunday! Robin, one of fellow warriors shared some information about dense breast tissue with me and after limited research, I wanted to share this website about dense breast tissue. I have always had dense breasts but was never informed that my mammograms may be less effective at detection as a result. My 6.5+cm was not detected by a mammogram, leading to a more advanced cancer at the time of diagnosis. This organization is introducing a bill to the Federal government that will mandate doctors to inform patients about dense breast tissue. I will do more research, but for now, Im curious to know how many of you had dense breast tissue and if your doctor informed you that mammograms are less effective at detecting tumors in dense breasts?
