Happy Sunday friends and family! I would like to ask everyone for prayers and positive thoughts. Im scheduled for three pain block injections. Tomorrow, Dec 15th, Dec 22nd and Jan 12th and Im feeling kinda nervous. In between these appts, I am scheduled for an MRCP on Dec 29th and a Dr appt with a pancreas specialist on Jan 7th. Thankfully, my blood tests can back negative for pancreatic cancer. My sis, Maggie Elizabeth Portillo will be taking me to my appt tomorrow because I will be sedated. Our hope is the pain block injection will give me longer lasting relief than the oral pain meds. For those of you who dont know, I was originally mis-diagnosed back in 1998 with pancreatic cancer. After many hospital stays and a lot of testing, I was diagnosed in 2000 with auto immune pancreatitis, which means weve been dealing with this for awhile. Most of the time, I go through my days feeling wonderful. Even when my body feels pain, I feel wonderful. Unfortunately; because of the pain, Im forced to lay low. Ugh! Difficult for me because I love to dance, move and go, go, go! :) Im sure youll get a play by play from my sis, (Maggie) tomorrow because she LOVES to post. Ha-ha-ha! Thank you everyone!
