***Happy Tails Update on Carter!**** Carter is doing great! Hes gotten more comfortable in our home. He still follows me around most of the day but now he will at least go into the next room. He likes to be near a window so that he can keep an eye on all the spring activity thats going on outside. One thing Ive noticed is that instead of trying to playfully nip our hands when we go to pet him, he now relaxes and rolls over for his expected tummy rub. Also, we can actually open an outside door without him trying to escape like when he first came to us. Now that the snow is gone, weve noticed hes a bit of a digger as you can see from the second photo below. Got a good laugh when I opened the door to let him in from outside. Apparently he likes to bury his favorite treats in the woodchips for later. We recently went away for spring break and boarded him at Bark-a-bout. I was a little worried he would think we abandoned him, but he did just fine. They told us that he was a little shy and stuck close to his big sis Jamie. Carter and Jamie continue to get along very well. We just adore Carter and are so happy that we adopted him!
