Happy Thanks giving FB Peeps, I have a lot to say so here it goes. I had a dream last night. That my dad Pifas was back. Some of you may already know but for those that dont. Pifas is my step dad that raised me after my dad Joe passed away in 1980 or 1981 I forget. So Pifas is the only dad I have ever known. He helped my mom a widow raise two kids that were not his own. Hope that gives a little perspective of his character. In my dream he was back and we were all the same age we were before he was deported. Only difference is we still had the memories, history, the thoughts and ideas we have at our age now. We are all now different. If he were to come home now he wouldnt know who we are and we wouldnt know who he is. It has been years since some of us have seen or even spoken to him. The last real memory I have of him is a difficult one. INS or FBI cant remember which as all men breaking down doors at 5 or 6 am to a small family is scary as shit. They pulled us all out of bed. Herded us to my parents room. Where my dad Pifas was standing in the corner in is underwear. Arresting him in front of our eyes. That was the moment I changed forever. We all did. With that being said I would like to now move my topic to a little more political one. I usually keep my opinions to myself. But the dream and thoughts of my daddy Pifas motivated me to write this down. Although some of you do not believe that what OBAMA is doing as far as legalizing immigrants is Fair and that they (Mexicans) are going to destroy or steal jobs from Americans I disagree. This is why. Obama is not trying to win a popularity contest, he isnt doing this to just do it. There is a reason behind it. He is looking at the interest in all Americans and the future for this country. How you ask. Well for instance. Yes it is true that Mexicans will work those jobs that others wont. But by legalizing them they continue to do the work others wont. Only this time the Farmers and other industries will now have to treat them like legal Americans with a valid social which means at least min wage. Yes higher pay for the Mexicans but also Higher taxes for the government. Which also means more income Mexicans have to buy. Simple things like food and clothing also pay taxes, again more money in the Governments pocket. More money to pay towards the ALREADY deficient our country is currently in. Real Socials means the ability to apply for credit, yes homes, cars, loans etc. Guess what more spending means more money into the economy. We are looking at the long run people. Not the 1 year or even 10 years down the road. But the future. This move that OBAMA has made is to help all of us Americans get back on our feet and put money back to the economy. We are not just talking about a couple of hundred people but millions of people that will now be legally contributing to our economy and closer to our dream of free health care. So for all those simple minded, selfish people. That believe this is a bad idea. I ask that you open your minds and think about our country future and what is best for the country and not your selves. Although this change will not change the fact that my family has been broken and has forever changed. But I am thankful this day that other families will not have to endure the pain and suffering that so many other families have had including my own. That other families will have the opportunity to stay together. Now it is up to us Mexicans not to take this for granted and really put our roots down and help this country move forward in a more prosperous, God Fearing Future. I know some of you may not agree and still do not see the big picture but either way. Mexicans like all other immigrants or like some of you have labeled others Anchor Babies which 95% of US are Anchor babies. We are all just trying to find the American Dream. What are you afraid of that Self motivated, Self Taught, Mexicans are going to take your dream. You still have your dream you just have to get up and work for it. Please no negative comments I can really careless what negativity thing you have to say so feel free to delete yourself from my FB friends list. I probably wont even notice.
