Happy Thanksgiving All! Ive been reminiscing all day! Its the first day Ive felt like myself in over a week. I am so grateful to all of my friends that touched base with me and wished me well especially those brave enough to give me hugs despite the plague! (Thanks Mike and thanks Jamie Cerri for sparing him to cheer me up! Love you guys!) I guess Ive had a lot of free time and I started thinking.....thinking about fun.....thinking about old days back in Ohio, but they could be anywhere......anytime, really.. .. Just thinking about Selentis Pizza and Gyros from Mr. Gyro on Broadway! That cucumber sauce........yum and the burgers .... Omg! I was thinking about dancing at the Excaliber until I sweat out my hair or the Heavy D & the Boys Holiday Concert where I had the cutest red dress....every girl had one, lol! My brother driving a gang of us home in his blue Impala while Public Enemy trailed off to....The Bridge is Over... de-de-da-de-day all you sucka MCs wont you please come out to play... As we round the corner and down 21st street as a familiar whiffle twump comes from the speakers and we are singing, One lonely Beastie I be, all by myself without nobody... He yelled get ready and this aint funny my name us MCA and Im about to get money pulled out the jammie aimed it at the sky he yelled stick em up and let two fly. Hands went up..people hit the floor. He wasted two kids that ran for the door. Im Mike D and I get respect. Your cash and your jewelry is what I expect..... Omg! That was my jam! That and brass monkey! Lol! Loved the Beastie Boys!!!! And wed be riding! Riding and laughing and enjoying the night and making permanent memories that no one outside of our era would understand. I can still smell the pizza. I can still hear DeBarge .....cuz this time loves for real. In time it will reveal. That special love thats deep inside of us well all reveal in time. I tell you I love you. But you wont believe its true. More precious than silver, more precious than diamond rings or anything that I could give you. It wouldnt mean a thing..... Sing it yall! .Silly of me to tell them all that every night and day you call when you could care less!!!! What else????? Yall dont leave me hanging!
