Happy Thanksgiving to my family, friends, enemies and folks I dont know. As Ive thought about tomorrows table and the time with loved ones the Lord brought to mind the table of the Lord. A table He prepares for those who make it to heaven. I know there is someone in need that God is directing to read this post. Because I want to see you at that table I need to share how to be there. Suppose something happens to you and find yourself standing before God and He asks, Why should I let you into My heaven? What would you say to Him? Seems like every Thanksgiving there are people who have passed away. You see heaven is a free gift it is not earned or deserved. Man is a sinner and he cannot save himself. God is merciful and doesnt want to punish us, but God is just and must punish our sin. Christ is both God and man, He died on the cross and rose from the dead to pay the penalty for our sins and purchase a place in Heaven for us and a seat at His table. Faith is not just head knowledge nor is it just temporary faith. True saving faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for our eternal life. The ticket to peace, hope, heaven, the table is easy. Pray and admit you, like I and all others are a sinner and need forgiveness for our sins. Believe in this Jesus who died on the cross for you and I and rose the third day paying the penalty for our sins. Ask Christ to come into your heart, trusting He has the power to forgive and save for the Bible says WHOSOEVER calls upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved. He will change your life.
