Happy Thursday! It never ceases to amaze me that people suffer from Celiac disease, and it is a disease NOT an allergy; and they have no idea about their own medical condition. This is a disease not to be taken lightly as it can have dire consequences if left untreated, or not treated properly ...as in a strict gluten free diet. We fight on a daily basis for people to understand our disease and all that goes along with it, if we cant speak intelligently about it how can we expect other to learn? Learn about your disease and share information with others that are facts and not misnomers. There are pamphlets in store from the Canadian Celiac Association - Moncton chapter as well as we also have their Pocket Dictionary available. I consider myself lucky to have a disease that is managed with diet as there are so many others who arent as lucky. With the availability of quality gluten free products available in the market place it is easier than ever for us to eat, be healthy and thrive. Jane
