Happy #WorldTurtleDay! Please sign to protect nesting sea turtle in St Lucia. There are still a lot of people here who kill the turtles for meat and steal the eggs to eat. Like the St Lucian parrot which now has full protection, it is still considered a delicacy to eat turtles. Vigie Beach once had hundreds of turtles that came there to nest, but one turtle hunting (as my grandmother would say) jackass, single-handedly put an end to that. Now only the odd, very lost turtle turns up here at night.
