Happy birthday, my love. Oh, how I wish I could give you a birthday kiss and bake you a cake, but that isn’t to be. I know this is probably the happiest birthday you have ever had. The joy of being with the Lord Jesus Christ on your birthday must be wonderful. You have left such a big hole here though. You are such a wonderful memory and I’m glad you were born. We were meant for each other. I’m just sorry our time together was so short. Remember your 40th birthday? Oh, you were so unhappy! Sharon invited us to her house at the airport for carrot cake. You were being such a stick in the mud and very grumpy. You said you were on a diet, didn’t want cake, and didn’t want to celebrate. When you finally gave in you wanted a friend to babysit Mandi, but that friend had borrowed our video camera…supposedly for to take a video of her son playing soccer. Hmm…little did you know that she was at Sharon and Larry’s along with Marilyn and Danny, Mike, Matthew, Rigo, Michelle, your dad, Andrea, Flora, Lewis…everyone. I am so impressed that they were able to hide your Dad’s motor home, so when we drove up you didn’t suspect a thing. Surprise!! They all jumped out of hiding and you had a wonderful birthday. Ron, that was such a happy memory. The only thing that almost gave the surprise away is that your dad didn’t call you first thing in the morning, like he did every year on your birthday, to tell you where he was on the day you were born. I miss you Ron. Today Mandi and I are going to see a couple of movies. She is hurting, too. We need each other today. We’re going to see a couple of movies that you would have liked to see, but we have to go clear to Sullivan to see them. Oh well. We will get through today. Ron, I will love you forever. Happy Birthday from your wife.
