Happy birthday to artist, Andy Warhol! Born on August 6, 1928, Andy Warhol was a key figure in pop art and revolutionized artistic production during the 20th century. Through the 1960s, he created more 20 silkscreen paintings of the same Marilyn Monroe image after her death in August of 1962. Marilyn x 100, currently on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art, is the largest of these Marilyn paintings and is free to see in the museums contemporary galleries!
