Happy birthday to the one and only Ozzy Osbourne, whose vocals and music, paved the way for the heavy metal genre and earned him the title, “The Godfather of Heavy Metal”. After leaving Black Sabbath in 1979, he’s enjoyed a successful solo career, releasing eleven studio albums, the first seven of which were all awarded multi platinum certifications. As a member of Black Sabbath, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2014 received the Global Icon Award at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
