Happy to report that I found The Interview to be a surprisingly funny flick. Even happier to report that the theater was PACKED. Pretty cool! I am so used to going to the more Art Housey movie theaters in KC and being one of only a handful of people there. For example, I went to the first showing of Boyhood at this same theater just a little while back and there were MAYBE a dozen other people there (and I thought Boyhood was one of the best films I have seen in years). Plus people were pretty stoked as well. Missed considerable amount of dialogue due to the LOLing going on. The manager had us exit out the back because there were so many people waiting for the 9:30 show in the lobby and he was high-fiving everyone as we filed out. Now there was a first for me at a movie. Definite Nope, you are not going to tell us what festival of dick jokes we are going to go watch! vibe going on there! St. Joe native Eminem was hilarious, thought he did a GREAT job (https://youtube/watch?v=rbWF3wMFaUQ note: cursing not removed as of posting if you are sensitive about such things). Seth was good. James Franco was helped by the puppy (as tums help counteract acidity, the puppy helped counteract the jamesfrancoity). The film was quite a mess in lots of other areas and I have now officially seen all of Seth Rogans midriff as I need to for this particular lifetime, but all in all definitely recommended.
