Haq chairs Select Committee Meeting SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 10: A meeting of Select Committee of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held under the chairmanship of MLA Advocate Abdul Haq Khan here today. The Committee discussed and examined the Recruitment Rules of Rural Development Department (RDD) besides functioning of the department. The Committee with its members Mir Zahoor Ahmad, Mr Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Mr. Ashok Kumar and Mr. Charnjit Singh gave their valuable suggestions for further improvement in the working of the RDD. Discussing the Rules and Acts pertaining to the RDD, the panel directed the officers of RDD to amend the Recruitment Rules both gazetted and non-gazetted. Earlier, Commissioner Secretary RDD Mr. Farooq Ahmad Peer briefed the Committee about the progress of proposed amended Recruitment Rules. Among others, Secretary Law Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Director RDD Kashmir Mr. Altaf Ahmad and other officers of RDD and Assembly Secretariat attended the meeting.
