Harlan Crouch was a giant! A brother at sea. A ZONIAN, and like a cousin to the rest of us zonies. He had vision, seeing things beyond what was in front of him; planning for the future. He was determined. His bowls demonstrated patience, planning, and dare I say, love? Harlan was the sort of man that decided what he wanted to achieve, then went about accomplishing it. He wanted to go to KP, and no naysayers would deter him. When KP sent him home day one, he was not deterred. He returned a year later, meaner and leaner! Harlan was Viking! Honorable, and strong. Smart. Loved by all. I will miss him, the world will miss him; whether it knew him or not. The world is dimmer without him. Harlan would have been a fantastic father. And though he will never meet his baby, his baby will know from everyone, what a great man he was. His baby is carrying some super DNA, and already has a head start on the world. So we welcome our brother home today, a Spartan coming home on his shield. We say goodbye and mourn the worlds loss. Philosopher, visionary, craftsman, mariner, father and Husband. His ship has set sail on a new voyage in the stars. No doubt a voyage of discovery and wonder. God steer thee well.
