Hartnell Community College District and its Music Department are happy to welcome Francesco Attesti and Matteo Galli on Friday, February 20, 2015 on Mainstage for a piano and organ concert at 6:00 p.m. on the main campus at 411 Central Avenue, Salinas, CA. A VIP reception will follow in the Hartnell Art Gallery. Attesti and Galli present a wide variety of music for piano and organ including arrangements of arias from operas, Richard Strauss, Franz Schubert, Frédéric Chopin, an arrangement of “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin and more. The concert also contains a five-minute improvisation by Matteo Galli on a theme given to him the night of the performance. “Francesco Attesti and Matteo Galli are the epitome of talent, professionalism, and personal charm,” said Superintendent/President, Dr. Willard Lewallen. “Their collaborations and interpretations on classical music involving piano and organ are a feast for the senses. Their performances are inspiring and moving. Although they are both internationally acclaimed musicians, you will find them to be engaging and warm on a personal level.” A free Master class will be offered to the community at large on Thursday, February 19, at 3:00 p.m. at Mainstage. Community, students and instructors will be treated to the talented duo that has a unique recipe to engage and amaze.
