[Harvard CSSA] Sports + Public Service + Alumni Relation teams joint event The Harvard Chinese Students & Scholars Association (HCSSA) is hosting the 2014 HCSSA 5K Run/Walk, Run for Zhong Hao and Children Like Him event to benefit Children of China Pediatrics Foundation (CCPF). The 2014 HCSSA 5K Run/Walk, Run for Zhong Hao and Children Like Him charity run/walk will raise funds to support CCPF’s mission to provide surgery for Zhong Hao and disabled orphans like him in China. Your participation in this event and donation of any amount will support this work and help make a difference in the life a child. All funds raised will go directly to providing hospital fees and equipment to make these surgeries possible. Zhong Hao is one child whose physical disabilities left him abandoned at birth. Now 12 years old, Zhong Hao has severe scoliosis with a 111-degree curvature that is impacting his ability to breathe. CCPF’s team will provide the complicated surgery to straighten his spine, giving Zhong Hao a much higher quality of life with a straighter back and maybe even more importantly, a life that does not include struggling for his next breath. Left untreated, his scoliosis is so extreme that at some point his lungs will completely give out. Check out our video at https://youtube/watch?v=WC3x3haN_pg .
