Harvesting Hope for Literacy The Rotary club of La Conner invites you to a festive dinner and an entertaining live auction titled Moonlight and Martinis. You will have the opportunity to bid on special destinations, wonderful dinners and unique items. The annual Harvesting Hope auction to support literacy will be held on Saturday, August 24 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Maple Hall in the town of La Conner. Help children learn to read, receive dictionaries and support scholarships for La Conner High School graduates. You will also be contributing to the Regional Library and Skagit Literacy and a wide range of Regional and International programs. A sampling of the one- of- a- kind items: An overnight stay at a family friendly farm Enjoy a New Orleans Marti Gras dinner at a vintage farm house Invite 20 of your friends to a private jazz concert on the patio of a historic home Tour a working wind farm Take a relaxing week at the Beach Mimosas will greet our guests, along with an array of appetizers too be enjoyed while browsing our Silent Auction. Dinner with a Skagit Valley flavor will be provided by local caterer Max Dale. The meal includes Steak and grilled salmon, fresh fruit, desert and coffee. Wine will be available throughout dinner provided by Hellams Vineyard, La Conner. Special martinis will be available. Harvesting Hope raises money that funds local scholarships and literacy projects.
