Has anybody ever needed to cancel the security deposit on a rental car? We are waiting 3 days now for replacement keys, so we can continue our trip in Brazil, but the car company either dont have spare keys or are refusing to give them to us. Very weird. We are considering leaving the car here, 2 hours away from the car company & renting another car so we can continue. Basically they have fu**ed us. So we want to return the favour. The only issue is we typed in the pin number for a security deposit of about 400 pounds, and obviously we want to retract that deposit. The deposit has not been charged yet by the car company, so we just need to cancel it, and move on. Does anyone have experience with this?
