Has anyone else had a problem with Staples Business Depot? Im so - TopicsExpress

Has anyone else had a problem with Staples Business Depot? Im so frustrated... So on September 15th I bought a gaming laptop, apparently the best they had, for $1800. (Price includes $200 accidental damage warranty & taxes) After a couple weeks the keyboard started to randomly stop working and I looked online to find the solution, which was a fairly simple fix (turn it off and turn it back on without the battery in it). While removing the battery I noticed a sticker on the bottom with another customers name and phone number on it with the message the customer had complaints and returned the laptop. I phoned the ex-customer to ask them about what was wrong with the computer and she told me it kept failing on her and she only had it for two days before she returned it. Now, I was under the understanding that the laptop I was buying was brand new (especially at that price) and the only reason it had been opened was to show it to other customers. I was never informed that it had been sold previously and returned due to the issues it was having. I called the store and spoke with a manager. She told me that since it was after two weeks, the return policy wasnt supposed to be valid anymore, but because of my complaint, she would make an exception, however I had the only laptop like that one because that specific one stopped being produced and sold in May. I loved the laptop, so I decided to stick it out. On October 15th, it fell of my bed and the screen cracked so I took it in for repairs and to use up my $200 extended warranty. They told me it would take about a week and a half to ship it out, fix it, and send it back. Its now been 3 weeks and I was told today that they found an issue with the hard drive as well, and had to order extra parts for it, which could be coming from California. They didnt have an ETA for me and told me they were going to email them and find out how much longer it would be. Now heres my question. I dont believe the hard drive problem was because it fell off the bed. I think it was a faulty laptop when I bought it, and the salesperson left out crucial information when he sold it to me. Thats like buying a car new and finding out it was previously returned because the air bags didnt work. Does anyone know what I should do without turning into one of those nasty, rude customers? I dont want to go in there screaming at innocent people, but I want results. Any suggestion?
