Has anyone else had this impression? People in Taichung dont know how to walk. We all talk about bad drivers, but walkers are even worse. I went to the YMCA flea market at the city hall today and someone walked into be about every 30 seconds. Yes it was crowded but i didnt bump into anyone, but people were bumping me 2-3 times a minute. They bumped me and didnt even look up and say sorry. At one point I got out of the crowd to just stand and watch. I was 5 metres from the nearest pedestrian surrounded by open ground, and in 5 minutes 3 people walked right into me. One was on his 3G phone head down, the other 2 were looking sideways while walking forward. WTH? Am I not understanding crowd culture? Is it ok to bump people? Shouldnt a person watch where they are going and turn sideways to avoid a collision? Comments?
