Has anyone ever had a discussion with a friend that dropped their jaw to the floor in disbelief and left them speechless? I had a discussion with a friend tonight that was once a very close friend of mine. Now Im left wondering if I ever really knew him like I thought I did? Who could say, Finding a suitable man to date online is like shopping at a grocery store? At a grocery store were looking at objects and making a selection based upon comparisons to other objects. Objects have no feelings or emotions and are not living breathing things. Finding someone suitable to date deals with real life human beings and the real life feelings and emotions that human beings have. This really through me for a loop. Who could categorize human beings as nothing more then objects and finding a suitable mate to a grocery shopping experience? So in other words human beings are nothing more then objects to this guy and he does not care about real life human emotions or feelings? I guess our entire friendship was based upon him selecting me as an object he wanted to befriend? Help...Im totally at a loss for words and dont even know what to think of him anymore. Am I strange, or is this a sick and twisted analogy that shows a total lack of respect, warmth and compassion towards human beings and comes off cold and callous? Not to mention this analogy totally objectifies human beings which makes me sick to my stomach. Whats your opinion? Common yall Van der Fleet needs some outside opinions for clarity.
