Has anyone had a rat that seems to prefer a smaller cage to a bigger one? Christmas Eve we came home from celebrating with my parents and my fiance found one of my girls in the guinea pig cage. she has somehow escaped (after staying in the big cage for at least a week and a half no issues) when I put her back she seemed pretty lethargic, I thought she was probably just scared getting stuck in the pig cage. She got out shortly after again, so I went ahead and put chicken wire around the bottom area to try n keep her in. Christmas she was back out, twice, every time I put her back and she seemed very lethargic not wanting yogis and would just sit on in a corner not moving. I decided to put them back in them the smaller cage till I could mod the bigger one and keep them in, almost instantly she was running around, coming for treats and love.. almost as if she wanted to be back in her smaller cage. Has anyone experienced this before?
