Has anyone read The Stand by Stephen King? Evidently there is also a television miniseries and a comic series. BTW Stephen King is one of the most prolific writers of our generation. Before the Great Ebola Panic of 2014, I coincidentally began this book halfheartedly as a vacation time killer, now I am sporadically and slowly reading it as the News slowly anticipates such an apocalypse. The Stand - A pandemic, the total breakdown and destruction of society through widespread violence; the failure of martial law to contain the outbreak; the militarys increasingly violent efforts to censor information; and, finally, the near-extinction of mankind - Wikipedia I prefer audiobooks to e-books because theyre easiest to pay attention to while mobile, it just plays, an e-book needs eyeballs and screen tapping to flip pages. On September 10, 2014, Boone announced the script has been completed and that pre-production is currently underway. The adaptation will be a single film of three hours.
