Has anyone tried, heard, read or been successful with reducing symptoms with vitamin, mineral or dietary supplements? If so, which ones, how much? I was reading an article that said that the occurrence of vitamin d, b12 were higher in those with psychosis/mental illness. Other articles I searched for talked about the importance of the B complex(mainly b3, b6, b12) , zinc, folic acid, and methyl donors in people with mental illness. I know the likelihood of this replacing the need for meds is zilch, but if it could reduce the dosage, help reduce symptoms or even increase good days...that would be worth it... right?
