Has anyone yet done a meta-investigation of perceptual - TopicsExpress

Has anyone yet done a meta-investigation of perceptual investigations? What I mean is, has anyone tried to figure out why is that IF we start to question the validity of our perception of reality, THEN we are most likely to begin my recapitulating the inverted spectrum hypothesis, regardless of previous exposure to said (QVP ⊃ISH)? I mean, is there something truly fundamental in the way (order, quality, process, etc) that the majority of sighted humans come to experience the nature of perception which prefigures us for questioning that, First? Now, before you answer, consider this Tool song youtube/watch?v=EDlC7oG_2W4; this Episode of RadioLab radiolab.org/2012/may/21/; and this Derren Brown thingy youtube/watch?v=UdlItEIj8bg. So, from the perception of cognitive psychology, philosophy, and neuroscience, it would seem like there is something here. Any papers out there I should have read?
