Has been a wonderful month with all but one grandson here, Thomas........next time! Randy left the end of July & Clint leaves tomorrow at ODark Thirty out of Spokane Int. Will be an empty house with school starting.......no grandsons running in & out, stopping for a brief time on their way to another adventure or just hanging out here with me or each other or at the Fredericks. Since Randy will be attending college at Western Kentucky & Clint at somewhat near-by at UAH-Huntsville, AL., maybe they can all see each other for a brief time when Tyler & Ryan go back to FFA Nationals in Louisville, KY. in Oct.....can only hope! These cousins are very close & have a great time when together.......just praying it will last a lifetime. Thomas is way far away in Perth, Australia so him joining us for harvest just wasnt in the cards this year....sometime, hopefully. I know the boys have become or are just becoming young men, and they have to begin living their lives on their own, but I just hate seeing them in far corners of the US & Aus instead of my backyard....running in for a popsicle......tattling on one another for splashing them in the pool......snickering because they didnt think I saw them making funny gestures to each other....oh, those were the fun days! Now, its side glances when a hot girl walks by or they have an off color joke to share with each other & they dont want me to hear!! Guess what, I want them to share everything with me, even off color jokes.......I dont ever want them to be afraid to talk to me about anything........and trust me, they do share with me........even when I roll my eyes, they know I enjoy our talks of happiness, sads, tears and their futures.......they all have goals and are working to reach them! So proud of each & everyone of them. They make me SMILE! I love my grandsons soooo much...dont want them to grow up and leave, but I know its inevitable. I do want to watch them succeeed & offer a hug for what they see as a failure.....which I will tell them, its not a failure, its just another stepping stone towards your success!
