Has it been a weird week for anyone else? Maybe its all the sinus pressure (i try to not be a complainer on here all the time so i keep it in check but this week has just about killed my nose/eyes/head.) Or the sinus medicine haze (Benedryl helps but its just so stupefying.) Everything seems kinda gruesome in my newsfeed. Its been a disturbingly violent week. It makes me ache inside, and sometimes kinda want to vom. But there was also a nice dose of irony. I have far right leaning and far left leaning friends on here that both quoted George Orwell. THAT made me giggle. And there were cute animal pictures. They are always nice. But I think its reassuring in some way that when we repost these horrible news stories its because we are moved and people are at least talking about the atrocities that still occur every single day, and sometimes abhorrently enough in the name of some deity. I think they pop up in my feed because we dont want these things. But sometimes I wonder if it isnt like a horror movie or snuff film kind of obsession. I bet its both, depending on a lot of things. Anyhoo. Its nice seeing my people say things about these terrible things that show heart and thought. I know the best people.
