Hasbrouck happenings Ambie -- Hello Hasbrouck, Two things I would like to cover this evening 1) Pumpkins for Halloween 2) Hasbrouck Council meeting/town Hall Pumpkins We have free pumpkins outside front of the Service Center. Feel free to grab one for your decorating pleasure! Happy Halloween folks! On a more serious note… Hasbrouck Town Hall Meeting: We had set to meet residents at the second Council meeting on Saturday, November 2nd, between 3-4pm. This is canceled. INSTEAD, we are looking to have a Town Hall meeting where you can come in and express anything regarding your stay at Hasbrouck on Thursday November 3rd at 6pm at the Big Room. This meeting has been prompted by the current state of affairs here at Hasbrouck. Some of the areas of concerned that have been touched on include but are not limited to: a) How untidy/dirty Hasbrouck is b) The response rate for maintenance requests c) Unaccompanied children within Hasbrouck d) Safety of residents… the list goes on This is an opportunity for you to come and be heard. This Town Hall style meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd starting at 6pm at the Big Room, Hasbrouck Community Center. Do come and share freely the concerns/celebrations/ideas you have for Hasbrouck so we can all work together to make this a better place. If you can’t make the meeting, we will be receiving suggestions anonymously at the Service Center desk or in my office. Write your concern on a piece of paper and it will be addressed at this meeting. You do not have to identify yourself on the paper. -Feel free to slide your comments under my office door… Whatever you feel comfortable doing. --- Linda Majani, MPA ‘12 Graduate Residence Manager Hasbrouck, Thurston, & Hughes Graduate and Professional Student Programs, Cornell University p. 607.255.3445 e.
