Hasegawas 1/32 scale Messerschmidt BF109F is a real beauty. The model puts together like a dream and no there is no engine, maybe that is how Hasegawa can keep their prices down compared to other companies, but they have a incredibly detailed cockpit and the fuselage wing assembly goes on with out a hitch......no filling is needed here. The tail section is separate but fits beautifully with the rest of the fuselage and the tail stabilizers fit snugly and line up perfectly vertical. The landing gear wells are the perfect size for the landing gear and fit snugly with the correct lean outward as usual on the 109s..........and the tail wheel is a 2 piece with the tail fork fitting on the bottom of the fuselage via a peg on the tailwheel assembly and a hole in the fusealge.....the wheel fits nicely in between the fork.....you dont have to glue it but I did. The canopy has no flares or blemishes and doesnt even need to be dipped in future it is so clear.......all in all I would put the BF 109F by Hasegawa on the same level as the FW 190D........#4 or 5 on the best ever kits for their price tags..........with a great decal sheet Hasegawa hit it out of the park with this offering! *Highly recommended!
