.Hauptmann School faculty present at NASPAA conference Three faculty members from Park Universitys Hauptmann School of Public Affairs presented a session at the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administrations annual conference, Oct. 12 in Washington, D.C. Eric Click, Ph.D., assistant professor and program coordinator of public administration and MPA area coordinator of disaster and emergency management (DEM); Rebekkah Stuteville, Ph.D., assistant professor and department chair of public administration and director of the Master of Public Affairs program; and Terrence Ward, Ph.D., assistant professor of public administration and MPA area coordinator of nonprofit and community services (NPCS) and associate dean of the HSPA, presented the session A New MPA for a New Age: Preparing Students/Professionals for Public Service. Clicks portion of the session was on The MPA: Creating a More Sustainable Society Through Workforce Development; Stuteville presented on Preparing MPA Students to Work Across Sectors: A Focus on Federal Service; and Ward presented Preparing the MPA Professional for a Politically Charged World. A portion of the session also focused on Current Public Issues and the MPA Curriculum: Inequality in the New Gilded Age, written by Richard Box, Ph.D., visiting distinguished professor of public affairs, who was unable to attend the conference.
