Have You Opened The Door? July 26th, 2013 It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. So often in our lives, we find ourselves overwhelmed with life’s problems. There are times when we take on more than we really can handle. We become more involved in church work until we ignore the work of the church. Have you ever known someone who desired to do the will of God, but would not release worldly activities? They say all the right things, but their heart is far from the truth. Have you ever vowed never to repeat the same mistakes? You mean well, but you still fall back. Are you currently living a double life? Saved on Sunday, worldly every other day. Are you totally committed to the things of God? Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. Real briefly, close your eyes and think back over your life. Think about all of the mistakes you made. Think about the mean and nasty things you said and did to others. After you have done this, I want you to think about your life now. The new you. The way you treat people now. My friend, Have You Opened The Door? Have you allowed God in your life permanently? The Bible declares in Revelation 3:20 - Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. When Christ knocked on your door (your heart), did you open up and let Him in? Is He currently knocking? Has He stopped knocking? You must understand, to attend church every Sunday is good; but to know God everyday is life. Have You Opened The Door? While churches count membership, God desires relationship. My brother, my sister, the Bible declares in Hebrews 4:7 - … as it is said, To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. When you open the door (your heart), you must be willing to allow God to have ownership. You have to be sincere when you invite Him in. Have You Opened The Door? In spite of all the mistakes you have made in life, God is still able to forgive and restore. After all the heartaches and pains you have experienced, God can still heal and make you whole. During your tearful nights and long days, God can still grant peace unto you. Dear friend, what you need to survive is found in the Lord. It is available for you, … after you open the door. Matthew 7:8 declares - For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Have You Opened The Door? Thought to Remember: When you open the door to God, He will keep the door open for you. May God Bless you at Your point of need! Minister Darrick D. McGhee
